Setting up Google Chrome on Windows 10 may be a smooth & uneventful affair. Download and run the Chrome installer and the browser up and running in a few minutes. Although, the fact that Chrome needs online connectivity during installation may trouble many people with intermittent internet. Check out the box next to ‘Help make Google Chrome better’ if you want Chrome to send usage statistics to Google. Then, tap Download Chrome.

Your browser starts downloading the offline Chrome installer instantly. It should amount to 60-70MBs approximately. If your computer has multiple users and wants to install Chrome on all of them, you should download a different Chrome standalone installer. How to Install Google Chrome Offline

Once you have downloaded the Chrome standalone installer, run it from your browser’s download manager. Or, visit the Downloads folder of your PC, and then run the downloaded file.

Alike with the stub installer, the installation process is entirely automatic. The offline installer will set-up Chrome on the primary partition of your PC—you can’t change that.
Note: In case the Chrome standalone installer fails to show up, right-tap the downloaded file, afterward click Run as Administrator.

You probably momentarily see the ‘Download’ status show up during the setup, but the installer does not download anything. The browser will open automatically soon after installation.
