There’s a candle for every mood and style, including gorgeous blooms, fresh linens, and homemade earthy aromas—there is even a handful that smells identical to high-end and luxury cult candles. When a friend informed me that M & S was selling candles with “Asop vibes,” I knew I had found something special. She wasn’t incorrect in her assessment. For genuine spa sensations, this candle is scented with geranium, cedarwood, eucalyptus, and lavender. It’s also colossal.

When Zara collaborated with the renowned Jo Malone to create their own line of candles, you know they were going to be fantastic. I keep a backup of this sweet-yet-musky patchouli in my house all year.

Cheap candles aren’t always the most attractive, but these concrete-style jars from Blomus look great and hold a sophisticated-scented candle. For a little over ten pounds, it’s not terrible.

It’s not often that you come across a cheap candle in a jar that you want to keep, but Paddywax has done just that with this cool hand-drawn one. It’s also pleasant to the nose.

The White Company is a great place to go for economical candles, and these small ones have a burn period of roughly 33 hours. The relaxing lavender and peaceful vetivert set the mood for a good night’s sleep with this candle.

These Aldi candles are a dead ringer for Jo Malone’s. This one pays homage to the brand’s signature Pomegranate Noir fragrance. While Aldi’s candle doesn’t have the same nuanced, comforting perfume as Jo Malone’s, it’s a good substitute for less than £4.

I love a good three-wick candle, and this one from Sanctuary Spa is no exception. The citrus, flowery perfume will be instantly recognisable to anybody who has used any of this brand’s body products—one of which is one of my favourite inexpensive scents.

H & M candles were never on my radar until I happened upon them one day while perusing the internet. This one has a nice, fresh, green scent with a lovely side profile.
14. The Urban Apothecary London Bay Berry Mini Candle is one of the cheapest candles on the market
By incorporating a small candle, I’m sort of cheating, but bear with me: Urban Apothecary London is a candle company that is both underappreciated and fantastic. And full-sized candles cost roughly £35—not as much as some of my other high-end picks. I think everyone will enjoy this one, which smells like luscious blackberries and herby sage.
